En Francais is a beginning level French language program for children starting at 5 years of age. Classes and summer camps for teens are also available. Classes are held in a private home in East Corte Madera off of Paradise Drive.
The classes will be taught using a total communicative approach; only French is spoken and heard. This Immersion Method takes advantage of the "window of opportunity" when the brain is developmentally ripe to learn a second language as naturally as it did the first. Classes are thus geared towards the learning style of the preschool age child. Each class begins with circle time to review basic vocabulary and introduces the theme of the week. The class revolves around this theme and uses games, visual aids, dramatic play, song and dance to French music, and storytime to engage the children..
